NailVision is a SaaS platform that gives nail salons ("Salon Owners") a digital color inventory and virtual try-on experience for their customers ("Customers"). This policy explains what data we collect from both groups, how it is used, and the rights you have over it.
When a salon is onboarded, we collect the owner's name, email address, phone number, business/salon name, storefront URL, and business address. This information is used to create the account, operate the salon's dashboard, and administer the subscription plan.
When a customer signs in on a salon's storefront, we collect a phone number (used to verify identity via a one-time passcode) and, for first-time visitors, a first name. We also store which nail polish colors a customer has marked as favorites so they can find them again later.
Salon Owners may upload photos of their physical polish inventory to build their color catalog — these images are stored so the catalog can be displayed to customers. Separately, when a Customer uses the Virtual Try-On feature, any photo of their hand is processed on-device or in-session only to render the color preview. That photo is not stored on our servers and is not used to train any AI model — it is discarded once the session ends.
We use the information above to: authenticate Salon Owners and Customers (including one-time passcode login), keep a Customer's saved/favorite colors in sync across visits, personalize the storefront experience, operate and improve the Salon Owner's dashboard, and send essential account or transactional notifications (e.g. password resets, invitations). We do not use customer data for advertising.
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. Data is only shared with the strict infrastructure partners required to run the platform — currently Supabase for our database, authentication, and file storage. These partners are bound by their own data-processing agreements and only access data as needed to provide their service to us.
Salon Owners and Customers have the right to access the personal data we hold about them, correct inaccurate data, and request deletion of their account and associated data. Salon Owners can manage most of this directly from their dashboard; Customers can contact the salon they interacted with, or reach out to us directly, to exercise these rights.
